as the question states, what car in recent history have you never noticed or seen on the road? my submission is relatively impressive considering it is a unique car and I have frequented many car shows in the past few years since my dad bought his corvette but alas the XT still eludes me:

that’s because people like and appreciate Ferraris so they are saved and preserved. the XT despite high production numbers seem to have all dissolved into dust

A friend of mine had one of those. I remember how sad she was when it died on her. Before that she had a 1970 Mustang. The girl has taste.

Not the one I saw, but similar.

Last gen Dodge Ram Van. I know there are at least few of them here but I think I’ve never seen one.

DUUUUUDE there was a silver XT sitting out to rot that I used to pass all the time on my way to and from my grandparents house. I remember seeing it as an early teenager and it didn’t move for YEARS. When I turned 15 I begged my Dad to at least go ask the guy about it. My Dad was an AWESOME haggler but not a great mechanic and this XT definitely needed some work..

The guy said the car “should run” and it didn’t look like it was missing anything under the hood. Lots of rotted vac lines but nothing bad. Then the guy selling it made the mistake of telling my Dad it was “super fast” despite me saying “Dad, according to the internet your Aztek is faster!” He was worried I would crash and die.

Got the guy down to $500, but my Dad didn’t allow it. A year-ish later he co-signed a loan for me to get a 1996 Chevy Blazer with a supercharger on it. LOL

One of my coworkers in high school had an XT. It was a piece of junk 20 years ago, so I’m not surprised I don’t see any now.

Damn, this is a tough one. There are a lot of exotic dealers in my area, so all of the “boutique” exotics are out (Noble/Rossion, Spyker, Morgan). Although the only Spyker I have seen was on the back of a tow truck. I’m not 100% sure I’ve seen an XT, but that’s yours...

Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Roadster has to be it. I’ve seen the coupe, but never the cabrio.

i was playing the imaginary dream garage powerball winning game in my head and became very depressed how slim the pickings were for an XT. I could literally buy a McLaren F1 or ford RS200 from my computer but would struggle to find then restore an XT. doesn’t make sense

Fun fact I can buy one of those in that color today right now. if I were to pick an XT I could choose from 5 rust buckets spread across the country and have to invest an unknown amount of money restoring a car that is possibly not restorable

I had two XT’s an 89 with a 1.8L MPFI non-turbo motor and a 90 with the 2.7L 6. The 89 was given to me by my step dad. They were both wonderful cars and were all kinds of weird. The XT-6 to this day is probably one of my favorite on the road GT type cars after the SVX.

Cars I haven’t seen in the last 25 years? Probably a pre 2002 WRX (canada import) would top the list. Lots of exotics because they are rare, like McLarn’s etc..

I would love to see one of these again. I worked at a book store in Seattle back in the late eighties, and this hot fiftysomething female attorney was a regular who bought one. I loved that car.

My friend used to own an XT, took me for a spin. Interesting car, hard to find parts for, and there are maybe 2 in Michigan.

Isuzu I-mark RS. The XT as well. The McLaren F1. The one I really want to see is a Delta Integrale. It’s my dream car and my father and I have searched god’s creation as Lancia enthusiasts but it’s eluded us. As for the XT and I-Mark RS, I saw a Ferrari 335 S, 250 TR, A Saab Sonnet I (there were only eleven Sonnett I’s built) but never an XT or I-Mark RS, just to give an idea of how few are around.

There’s a guy near me that has multiple XTs and SVXs.

I’ve seen both back in the day, but Nissan Pulsars and the Sterling whateveritwas are very, very rare. A Pulsar with the trunk thing is a total unicorn.

Not counting tuner/etc cars... I’ve never seen a Solstice Coupe,

A friend’s older sister had an XT Turbo 5-speed. The shifter was similar to the Volvo Spaceball from the R models that came 15 years later.

Kinja'd!!!

Like this, but light gray and red... I think it had a digital dash, too.

Super 80s futuristic.

They are also rarely driven. Don’t discount the impact of seeing a mass-produced cheap Subaru less than a Ferrari!
